Mirecourt (in May 11, 2002)

The lacemakers of the Association for the Flourish and the Promotion of Mirecourt's lace invited us to participate in their couvige 3-rd on Saturday , May 11, 2002 in the Space Rolant Flambeau de Mirecourt.

Mirecourt, capital of Xaintois, is situated on the antique big ways leading from Langres to Strasbourg, of the South of France towards Trier.
There were numerous industries: tannery of the leather, arms factories... It remains there two nowadays which date the XVI-th century: the lace and the lutherie.
Mirecourt finds it fame today, such as it was in the XVI-th century, thanks to the Association for the Flourish and the Promotion of the Lace and thanks to its centre of initiation which immortalizes the Art of the bobbin lace.
