In the general-purpose room of the library, an informed public could listen to the conferences suggested. Three of enter they had as subject lace: Martine Bruggeman presented on September 27 "lace, approaches historical and social", Annie Degroote "Silences of the Master Clothier" on September 28

I presented "the lace handkerchief" on September 21.
The handkerchief is an essential accessory, belonging to our everyday life. It accompanies us since centuries in very diverse forms.
The lace handkerchief evokes at the same time the smoothness, lightness, the beauty, the delicacy and much of other qualities still.
The handkerchief has its own History, and it is précisement this history, of the antiquity at our days, which is evoked in the presentation of this thesis. .
